For years now, Australian Vapers have been on a rollercoaster ride of regulations, legislations and nicotine bans. Well, the ride has finally come to an end and the ending is positive!
As of October 1st, 2021 nicotine vaping products will now be regulated to ensure all Australians can continue to vape as a part of their quitting journey. Nicotine Vaping is not being banned in Australia, and you will continue to be able to order your favourite trusty products from overseas retailers like Vapespot as long as you hold a valid medical prescription.
The new legislation is nationwide, which means it is very simple and easy to navigate. This is a big step forward for the vaping community, a positive step that the Vapespot team are very excited about.
How do I get a Prescription?
We’re recommending QuitClinics.com who we tried out recently and successfully obtained a 12-month nicotine prescription via email in less than 24 hours. The entire process took around 10 minutes and was 100% online. All Quit Clinics doctors have been approved by the TGA as Authorised Prescribers of Nicotine, including vaping products.
Alternatively, you can consult your GP to discuss your requirements. If your GP is not willing to support you, there are several Australian doctors who can help via traditional consultations and online consultations. ATHRA has created a list of Australian Doctors who may be able to assist.
What do I do once I have a Prescription?
To ensure a smooth delivery process, the TGA has suggested that consumers share a copy of their prescription with their supplier (such as Vapespot) to be included with their order. You can now upload a copy of your Prescription directly to the Vapespot website and our team will ensure it is included with your order.
How do I upload my prescription to Vapespot?
- Log in or create a Vapespot customer account here.
- Once logged in, select “Manage your prescription”
- Fill in your details then select your prescription file to upload
- Select “Update Account”
Alternatively, you can email your prescription directly to email@example.com
That’s it! Only 4 Easy steps!
You only need to upload your prescription once and our team will ensure it is included in every future order. If your prescription expires, simply upload your new one and we will revert to the latest copy.
